Belinda Macdonald, the Garden Designer, has an HNC in Garden Design which has formalised a lifetime of amateur horticultural interest.  She was awarded the Scottish Agricultural College prize for the best HNC student in Garden Design in 2007.  

Belinda initially trained as a biomedical scientist and holds both an Honours degree and a PhD in this field.  She is a firm advocate of lifelong learning and engages in an active programme of continued professional development to keep abreast of new skills and techniques which can be translated into her clients’ gardens and planting schemes. Listening, communication skills and unending professionalism are key to her strong relationships with clients.

She held the post of Co-ordinator for the Central Cluster Group of the Society of Garden Designers from 2012-2016.

Belinda is also Trustee/Administrator of The Uphill Trust (SC045385), a family-run charity supporting the development of a small rural primary school in Western Uganda. See for more information.
